There's no mistaking why WoW has brought Blanchard on board. A lot of online talk focused on Blanchard, though. WoW's bosses would have hoped everyone was talking about Lee's inclusion and the TV deal it has in place for 2022 following the announcement. However, WoW's announcement has been overshadowed somewhat by the reveal that Tessa Blanchard is involved with its launch and signed to the company. Women's Wrestling Needs A Shot In The Arm Most notably Impact Wrestling whose Knockouts division had been showcasing some of the best women's wrestling in the world well before WWE had its first women's Royal Rumble. While the spotlight WWE finally shone on its terrific female performers took things to the next level, other promotions had been doing great work before its women's revolution. Not just because of the ground being broken in WWE either.

Women's wrestling was on a long overdue ascent about five years ago.
